Biography

Danielle Dekker, LMFT is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant in private practice in Oakland, CA. Danielle embraces EMDR therapy as a comprehensive psychotherapy and primary theoretical orientation. With both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Psychology from Seattle University and over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health, Danielle has always been passionate about being a therapist. Danielle has worked across various community mental health settings providing therapy, clinical supervision, program development, and training. In addition, Danielle has a post master’s certificate from JFK University for treating eating disorders and is a doctorate student at Akamai University, in the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Program, with plans to conduct qualitative research of EMDR therapy.
