Biography

Danielle Dekker, LMFT is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant in private practice in Oakland, CA. Danielle embraces EMDR therapy as a comprehensive psychotherapy and primary theoretical orientation. With both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Psychology from Seattle University and over 20 years of experience in mental health, Danielle has always been passionate about being a therapist. Danielle has worked across various community mental health settings providing therapy, clinical supervision, program development, and training. In addition, Danielle has a post-master’s certificate from JFK University for treating eating disorders and is a Ph.D. student at Akamai University, studying Transpersonal Psychology, and conducted a qualitative research study of EMDR therapy for her dissertation.
