Biography

I am a client centered EMDR therapist, a bisexual cis woman, a survivor of childhood and adult abuses, an animal lover, a therapy client with dissociative identities, a neurodivergent business owner, a training junkie, a fat woman who believes in Body Trust, a white person with strong social justice values, a Lover of transgender people, a group work specialist, a mindfulness practitioner, an artist and musician, a body with fibromyalgia and other various maladies, a human being wanting to leave a positive impact on the earth and its inhabitants.

Prior to opening my solo private practice in 2013, I cut my teeth in community mental health, rape crisis work, and home/community-based services for folx with intellectual and other disabilities. I specialize in treating the effects of trauma, especially sexual abuse, in all ages. I have advanced training and experience with dissociation and DID. I love working with LGBTQIAP2s+ clients, especially those who are trans/nonbinary. I also have an extensive collection of sand tray figures. I have three locations, including Chicago, IL and Davenport, IA.

I trained in EMDR (not with ICM) in 2017 and became certified in 2019. When a mentee expressed interest in getting trained, I began the consulting journey, and learned under Amy Wagner until achieving Approved Consultant status in 2025. My goal is to become an EMDR Trainer and teach the ICM curriculum, so I audited Dr. Jamie’s training at Chico in 2024 and continue to be grateful for her mentorship.
