Biography

I am a clinical social worker with supervision designation with the Ohio Counselor Marriage and Family Therapist Board. I own and operate my own private practice, I am a co-owner of the Ohio Institute for Trauma and Wellness, LLC and I am also employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs.  I have practiced social work since 2005 after graduating with a  Master’s degree in Social Work from the Ohio State University.  I am  an adjunct faculty member with the Institute for Creative Mindfulness and provide EMDR therapy consultation as an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant to clinicians across the nation. Throughout my career, I have provided local and national trainings focused on the impacts of trauma and its effects on individuals, communities, and families. My therapy practice focuses on the treatment of childhood trauma and other adverse childhood experiences, complex PTSD, military trauma, LGBTQIA+ specific support needs, traumatized children, birth trauma, perinatal mental health and grief, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, sexual abuse, and dissociation.  In my practice, I utilize various therapeutic interventions including: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR),  DBT skills, Cognitive processing therapy, trauma-focused CBT, art and play strategies for children, and mindfulness based interventions.
